Cooking pão na panela de pressão is a simple and delicious way to enjoy this Brazilian bread at home.

Preparing pão na panela de pressão requires just a few ingredients:

  • 500g of strong bread flour
  • 1/2 package (7g) of yeast
  • 1 tbsp of salt
  • About 350ml of warm water

Mix the yeast with the warm water, then add the salt and mix until fully dissolved. Gradually incorporate the flour until a dough forms. Knead the mixture for about 10 minutes.

  1. Once the dough is well-kneaded, let it rest in an oiled bowl covered with a cloth for around one hour or until doubled in size.
  2. After resting, punch down the dough and shape into four equal balls. Let them rest again for 20 minutes.
  3. Place the pão na panela de pressão (prepared with oil) inside the pressure cooker. Make sure to grease the surface of each loaf lightly before placing in the pan.

Ensure that your pressure cooker is properly sealed and cook at high pressure for 15 minutes. The bread will be ready when you hear the release valve open automatically after cooking time has elapsed.
